Best platforms for FET staking with high returns

Hey everyone,

I’m new to staking and just started with FET on a popular exchange. They offer 2.79% APY, which seems okay. But I’m curious about other options.

I’ve heard about the ASI wallet for staking too. What are your go-to platforms for staking FET? I’m looking for something trustworthy and secure, but also with good returns.

Any tips or experiences you can share? What kind of APY are you getting? And are there any risks I should watch out for?

Thanks for your help!

hey there dancingcloud!

i’ve been staking FET for a while now and i totally get your curiosity about better options. 2.79% APY isn’t bad, but you’re right - there are some juicier opportunities out there!

have you looked into delegating to validators on the fetch network directly? i’ve been doing that and getting way better returns, like 10-12% APY. it’s a bit more hands-on than just leaving it on an exchange, but not too complicated once you get the hang of it.

what’s your comfort level with self-custody? if you’re okay managing your own keys, you could check out the fetch wallet (i think that’s what you meant by ASI wallet?). it’s pretty user-friendly and connects directly to the network.

just curious - what made you choose FET for staking? are you into the project itself or just looking for good returns?

oh, and about risks - always remember the usual crypto warnings. no matter where you stake, there’s always some level of risk. make sure you’re comfy with whatever platform you choose!

what’s your timeline for staking? are you looking to lock up for a while or do you want more flexibility?

yo dancingcloud! i’ve been staking fet for ages. forget exchanges, go for native staking thru fetch wallet. way better returns, like 15-20% apy sometimes. just gotta pick good validators. its not rocket science, promise. watchout for validator fees tho. what made u choose fet btw? cool project imo

I’ve been staking FET for about a year now, and I can share some insights. While exchanges offer convenience, they typically provide lower returns. For better APY, consider staking directly on the Fetch network using their native wallet. It’s relatively straightforward to set up and use.

In my experience, returns have varied between 10-15% APY, which is significantly higher than what you’re currently getting. However, it’s important to note that these rates can fluctuate based on network participation and other factors.

When choosing validators, look at their uptime, commission rates, and total stake. Diversifying across multiple validators can help mitigate risks. Remember, while higher returns are attractive, they often come with increased responsibility and potential risks. Always do your due diligence before moving your assets.
