Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about starting a video NFT marketplace, but I’m getting mixed signals from potential investors. Some are saying NFTs are no longer viable. What’s your take on this?
I’m also curious about other ways to make money from videos or determine their value. It seems like many videos are just as artistic as static images, if not more so, given the effort that goes into making them. But they don’t seem to get the same recognition or value as traditional art or even static NFTs.
Has anyone here had success with video-based digital assets? Or do you know of any promising alternatives for monetizing video content?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this. Thanks!
tbh, NFTs are kinda dead rn. the hype’s gone and people lost interest. Video marketplaces sound cool but risky. maybe look into livestreaming or patreon for video monetization? Easier to build an audience there. just my 2 cents tho, good luck with ur project!
hey there dancingcloud!
i get where ur coming from with the video nft thing. it’s a tricky market right now for sure. have u thought about maybe combining nfts with interactive video experiences? like, imagine if people could collect moments from a choose-your-own-adventure style video series. that could be pretty cool!
what if u looked into AR/VR stuff too? video nfts that can be displayed in virtual galleries or used in metaverse spaces might have some potential. just spitballing here!
btw, have u checked out platforms like verasity or theta? they’re doing some interesting things with video monetization and blockchain. might give u some ideas!
what kind of videos are u thinking of featuring? i’m super curious about ur vision for this marketplace!
While the NFT market has certainly cooled since its peak, it’s not entirely dead. Video NFTs could still have potential, especially if you focus on niche markets or collaborate with established creators. However, it’s a challenging landscape.
For monetizing video content, consider exploring Web3 streaming platforms like Theta or Livepeer. These offer decentralized alternatives to traditional streaming services and could align well with your NFT concept. Additionally, look into tokenization models that provide ongoing revenue shares to creators.
Ultimately, success in this space will likely depend on offering unique value propositions and building a strong community around your platform. It’s a complex endeavor, but there’s still room for innovation in the digital asset space.
