Considering a Start in Cryptocurrency Mining

I work away from home for one to two months at a time and am thinking about putting my PC to work by mining cryptocurrencies while I’m not here. Since my electricity is free, cost isn’t an issue. Although I expect only a modest return of around $20 to $30 monthly, I believe every little bit helps. I’m open to any advice or recommendations on how best to set this up.

I have experimented with mining setup during extended periods away from home and found that the key is remote management. I configured my system to handle unexpected events by setting up software that can alert me through email when something goes wrong. Since the system will be unattended for weeks, ensuring that the hardware cooling system is efficient and the PSU is reliable becomes critical. Although the returns are modest and the system primarily runs on idle, proper configuration and monitoring can significantly reduce potential issues, making the venture a worthwhile experiment over free electricity.
