Hi everyone! I used to have some cryptocurrency investments around 2019, mainly holding Ethereum and Cardano tokens. After taking a few years off from the crypto space, I’m thinking about jumping back in again. Are these two coins still worth investing in today, or have things changed significantly? I’m also wondering if there are any other promising cryptocurrencies that have emerged since then that might be worth considering. I’d appreciate any advice from people who have been actively trading or holding during this time period. What are your thoughts on the current market conditions and which projects look most solid for someone getting back into crypto investing?
Wow, 2019 to now - that’s like entering a different universe! What made you step away back then, and why come back now?
ETH and ADA were solid picks. Did you follow any major developments during your break? The Ethereum merge, DeFi explosion - or are you coming back blind?
Sticking with your old strategy or switching things up? The market’s way more volatile now than 2019.
How’s your risk tolerance these days? Sometimes breaks change your whole perspective. Going all-in again or testing the waters first?
yeah totally agree, things’ve changed a lot! ETH n ADA r still good but check out solana and the layer 2s. it’s all abt defis now! maybe start small n see how it goes.
Both Ethereum and Cardano are still solid picks, but things have changed a lot since 2019. Ethereum switched from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake in 2022 - better for energy but different staking rules. Cardano finally got smart contracts and built out their ecosystem, though adoption’s been slower than expected. I’ve stayed active through this whole period, and the market’s way more institutional now with heavy regulatory oversight. Bitcoin still drives overall sentiment, but we’ve got legit Layer 2 solutions and cross-chain protocols that weren’t ready back then. The big difference? Fundamentals actually matter now instead of pure speculation. I’d start small with assets you know while you catch up on current fundamentals. Volatility’s gotten worse, so risk management is everything.
