Is anyone seeing their locked cryptocurrency tokens displayed in Tangem wallet app?

Hey everyone, I’m experiencing a peculiar situation with my Tangem hardware wallet and wanted to see if anyone else is facing something similar.

I staked some cryptocurrency on various platforms some time ago, but now I can see these staked tokens in my Tangem wallet’s interface. This seems odd to me because I thought staked assets wouldn’t show up in a regular wallet view since they’re locked in staking.

Has anyone else noticed their staked coins appearing in their Tangem wallet? I’m unsure if this is normal or if there’s a syncing problem. The amounts look accurate, but I want to ensure everything is functioning correctly.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It’s common to see staked tokens reflected in the Tangem wallet. This behavior occurs because the wallet displays your entire token balance directly from the blockchain, including those that are staked. While many wallets may hide these staked assets, Tangem makes no distinction, which can indeed be misleading at first. I had a similar experience and verified my balances through blockchain explorers, where the values aligned accurately. Just keep in mind that even though these tokens appear, they cannot be transferred until they are released from staking.

yeah, same thing happened with my tangem card! freaked me out at first - thought somethin broke. turns out tangem just reads blockchain data differently. most wallets hide staked tokens, but tangem shows everything. actually pretty useful once you get used to it. just don’t try spending those tokens lol

Oh wow, that’s really interesting! I haven’t tried Tangem but I’m curious how they handle this vs other wallets.

Which platforms did you stake on? I’m wondering if it depends on the staking type - native staking like ETH 2.0 or DeFi protocols?

When you check those tokens in Tangem, do they show any label that they’re staked? Or do they just look like regular balance?

I’ve been considering a hardware wallet and this transparency could be useful for tracking everything in one spot, even if it’s confusing at first. Can you see accumulated staking rewards too, or just the original staked amounts?
