Launching a Crypto Portfolio with $1000: Allocation Advice & Learning Tools

I plan to invest $1000 in a long-term crypto portfolio including BTC, ETH, and select altcoins. What allocation strategy and beginner learning resources do you recommend?

hey everyone, i’ve been lurking here and thinking too about that mix investment. i kinda lean towards a 60-70% allocation for btc/eth since they seem more stable, and then use around 30-40% for altcoins that show some real tech potential, not just hype. i sometimes check out crypto podcasts and even some lesser known blogs to get fresh perspectives, ya know? i’m wonderin though, how do you all decide which alt coins are worth the risk? have any reccos on sites or community threads that break down project fundamentals? would love to know what tools or metrics u rely on to spot a solid altcoin investment. cheers and keep the convo goin!

hey, i’d lean more on btc/eth (like 65-70%) and give the rest to altcoins. i find youtube and reedit posts super useful for beginners, though i unt sometimes watch for the hype. keep learning and trader safely.
