Looking for feedback on my crypto allocation - new to digital assets but have stock experience

Background and Experience

I’ve been trading traditional stocks for about two years now and feel pretty comfortable with that market. Recently decided to branch out into cryptocurrency investing and put together my first digital asset portfolio.

Current Situation

Since I’m completely new to the crypto space, I’m not sure if my current allocation makes sense or if I’m missing something important. The volatility is definitely different from what I’m used to with stocks, and there are so many different coins to choose from.

What I’m Looking For

Would really appreciate some honest opinions on my portfolio composition. Are there any obvious mistakes I should avoid? Any suggestions for improvement or coins I should consider adding or removing?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can share. Still learning the ropes in this space and want to make sure I’m not making any rookie mistakes that could hurt my returns.

hey, totally get it! if u can, drop ur crypto allocation so we can help. coming from stocks is good, just remember crypto can be a wild ride! maybe start with a small amount till u feel more comfy with the market dynamics.

Hey! Congrats on jumping into crypto - it’s exciting stuff. I’ve been here a while and remember that same feeling when I started exploring options.

One thing though - you mentioned your allocation but I don’t see which coins you’re holding? Did you forget to include that or am I missing something? I’d love to see what you’ve picked before giving real feedback.

How are you handling the volatility compared to stocks? My first few weeks watching 20% daily swings was intense after being used to stock movements. Are you DCA’ing or did you go all in?

What drew you to crypto? Just diversification or are you into the tech too? That’ll help figure out what projects might fit your portfolio.

Looking forward to seeing what you’ve built!

Hard to give specific feedback without seeing your actual breakdown. Coming from stocks myself, the biggest shock was position sizing - crypto volatility will destroy you if you’re overexposed to smaller altcoins. Start conservative. Put 70-80% in Bitcoin and Ethereum as your core. Research is totally different here - fundamentals matter but technical analysis and market sentiment drive prices way more than traditional markets. Figure out your exit strategy early. Crypto bull runs flip to brutal bear markets faster than anything you’ve seen in stocks. What percentage of your total portfolio are you putting into crypto? That’d help me give better allocation advice.
