I’ve been working with an online NFT marker creation tool and I’m running into a frustrating problem. Every time I upload different images to generate markers, the confidence rating always shows zero stars at the bottom of the page.
I’ve tested this with various types of images - some with high contrast, others with detailed patterns, and even simple geometric shapes. But regardless of what I upload, the quality assessment never shows any stars or positive rating.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’m wondering if there’s something wrong with the rating system itself, or if I’m missing something about the image requirements. The marker files seem to generate, but without any confidence rating, I can’t tell if they’ll work well for tracking.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem or alternative ways to test marker quality would be really helpful.

I’m curious - when you say the marker files “seem to generate,” are you actually able to download them successfully? And have you noticed any error messages in the console or anywhere else on the page when the rating should appear?
Also, this might sound like a dumb question but are you waiting long enough for the analysis to complete? some of these tools take a minute or two to crunch through the image processing before showing the confidence rating. I’ve seen cases where people think its broken but its actually still working in the background.
What tool are you using specifically? might be worth checking if other users of the same platform are having similar issues recently - could be a server-side problem on their end rather than something you’re doing wrong.
oh and one more thing - have you tried uploading the exact same image that worked for someone else? that might help narrow down if its an image issue or a tool issue…
This sounds like a browser compatibility issue I’ve dealt with before. The star rating system in many NFT marker tools relies on JavaScript libraries that don’t always load properly, especially if you’re using an older browser or have certain extensions enabled. Try clearing your browser cache completely and disabling ad blockers temporarily - I had the exact same zero stars problem until I did this. Also worth checking if you’re using Chrome or Firefox as some tools work better on specific browsers. The markers themselves might still be functional even without the rating display, but you can test their actual quality by importing them into your AR development environment and checking tracking stability there.
had same thing happen too! make sure ur images aren’t too blurry or low res. the tool needs sharp, high contrast pics for ratings to work. i fixed mine by using 1024x1024 or higher and it helped a lot!
