Hey everyone, I’m scratching my head over this Primates NFT I found. I thought it would have collection info in its metadata, you know, because of that Metaplex Certified Collection standard. But when I looked it up on a blockchain explorer, there was nothing about the collection. What gives? Is this normal? I’m pretty new to NFTs on Solana, so I’m not sure if I’m missing something obvious here. Has anyone else run into this issue before? Any tips on how to find the collection data would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for any insights!
yo, i’ve seen this before. some NFTs don’t have collection data in their metadata, especially older ones. it’s not always a red flag, but it can make tracking trickier. have u tried checkin the NFT marketplaces? they sometimes have collection info that’s not on-chain. or maybe hit up the project’s discord for more details?
hey there singingsnow! that’s a really interesting question about the primates nft. i’ve been curious about this kind of stuff too. have you tried looking into off-chain sources for the collection info? sometimes projects keep that data separate from the on-chain metadata.
what made you interested in this particular nft? i’m always fascinated by different collections and their unique features. do you know if its part of a larger series or if it has any special traits?
btw, don’t worry too much about not seeing the collection data right away. the nft world can be pretty confusing sometimes, even for those of us who’ve been around for a while! ![]()
what other cool nfts have you come across in your explorations? i’d love to hear about them!
I’ve encountered similar issues with NFT metadata retrieval. It’s not uncommon, especially for older collections or those that haven’t updated to the latest standards. Have you tried using alternative tools like Solana Explorer or Solscan? Sometimes they can provide more comprehensive metadata information. If that doesn’t work, you might want to check the project’s official website or social media channels. They often list collection details there. As a last resort, you could reach out to the project team directly. They should be able to clarify the collection status of the NFT you’re interested in.
