What are the gameplay mechanics for the NFT Battle Royale version of Flappy Bird?

I’ve come across an interesting version of Flappy Bird that features NFTs and a battle royale format. It sounds quite unique and I’m eager to learn how it functions.

Could someone clarify the main rules and how it all operates? Specifically, how do the NFT aspects integrate with the traditional Flappy Bird gameplay? Are players vying against each other simultaneously? What do you experience when you get knocked out?

Having played the original Flappy Bird for quite some time, I’m a bit puzzled by this NFT battle royale concept. Any insights on scoring, prizes, or the competitive aspects would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!

This sounds amazing! I haven’t tried the NFT version yet but your post has me hooked.

Which blockchain does it run on? Ethereum or something else? And do you actually own the bird as an NFT, or just collect items and power-ups as NFTs during gameplay?

The battle royale part really gets me curious. Does everyone launch at once through the same course? Or are there multiple courses going at the same time? When you hit a pipe, do you just watch the survivors like other battle royales?

I’m confused about scoring too. Regular Flappy Bird is just pipe count, but with multiple players, does elimination order matter or is it still pure distance?

Found any gameplay videos or streams yet? I’d love to watch before jumping in. Flappy Bird mechanics plus competitive multiplayer could be incredible or total chaos lol

I’ve actually played one of these - the mechanics aren’t what you’d expect. Instead of everyone going through identical pipes, most versions create procedural obstacles that give each player slightly different paths. They keep it fair with synchronized timing windows though. The NFT stuff goes beyond just cosmetics. Some bird NFTs have subtle perks like less gravity or smaller hitboxes, but devs usually balance this so it’s not pay-to-win. You pay entry fees with the platform’s token, and winners split the prize pool based on rankings. It’s not like typical battle royales - elimination happens gradually since good players can survive forever. When you crash, you go into spectator mode and can bet on survivors with your earned tokens. Scoring combines survival time and distance traveled, so you’re constantly deciding between playing it safe or taking risks at obstacles.

yeah, the NFTs are mostly skins and visual stuff for the birds and backdrops. you buy and use em in the battle royale with 100 players. crash into a pipe and ur out, last bird flying takes the rewards like the pot or cool NFT prizes. it’s a basic idea, but each game tweaks it a bit.
