What's the maximum number of NFTs that can be minted using Hedera's Token Service?

Hey everyone, I’m looking into minting a large collection of NFTs on Hedera and I’m wondering about any potential limits.

Does anyone know if there’s a cap on how many NFTs can be created under a single token ID? I’m thinking of doing a pretty big drop - like 300k NFTs. Is that doable on Hedera?

I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you can share about working with large-scale NFT projects on this platform. Thanks in advance for your help!

yo, i’ve done some big drops on hedera before. 300k is definitely doable, but you might wanna break it up into smaller batches. like maybe 10k at a time or somethin. just to keep things smooth and avoid any network hiccups. good luck with ur project!

From my experience working with Hedera’s Token Service, there isn’t a hard limit on the number of NFTs you can mint under a single token ID. The platform is designed to handle large-scale projects, so your 300k NFT drop should be feasible.

However, it’s worth noting that while theoretically possible, minting such a large number at once might face practical challenges such as network congestion, gas fees, and transaction processing times. I recommend doing a smaller test run to gauge performance and optimize your minting process.

Be sure to consider the storage implications as well. Hedera uses off-chain storage for NFT metadata, so having a robust storage solution in place is crucial before proceeding with a full-scale mint.

hey there, sparklingGem! thats a pretty ambitious project youve got goin on! :open_mouth: 300k nfts is no joke. as far as i know, hedera can handle it, but heres a thought - have you considered the user experience? like, how are ppl gonna browse through all those nfts? might be overwhelming, ya know?

what if you did somethin cool like releasing em in waves? could build up some hype that way too. just brainstorming here! what kinda nfts are these anyway? im super curious now. care to share more about ur project?
